#[non_exhaustive]pub struct ReplaceRejected {
pub error: ReplaceItemError,
pub item: Box<dyn SceneItem>,
}Expand description
A refused Scene::replace_item: why, and the
item it did not take.
The item comes back rather than being dropped, because a refused write must
not eat the caller’s value. A Box<dyn SceneItem> can be expensive to build
and cannot be cloned, so a caller recovering from a precondition violation
would otherwise have nothing left to insert instead — and the row it was
reconciling would silently vanish.
#[non_exhaustive]: see RestoreError. The crate only ever hands this
out, so there is nothing to construct — recover the item with
let ReplaceRejected { item, .. } = rejected;.
Fields (Non-exhaustive)§
This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional
Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.error: ReplaceItemErrorWhy the write was refused.
item: Box<dyn SceneItem>The item that was not inserted, handed straight back.
